Sandbox was a fun way to communicate with other students and make changes and corrections to anyones posting. I chose to include pictures from my "Thing 9" because it was one of the most fun we had to do. It was one of those assignments I did not mind doing. Anytime I can make something fun for my students, I will.
Using sandbox could get kind of sticky when dealing with high school students, however. Some may not like it that someone changed their wording or pictures. I think it would become like a war online, but I would use it because I think we could keep it light hearted. Did that sound too negative? I think it would be very important to explain to the students that others have permission to change what they have worked on. Since I will be teaching English, this would be a great way to put up a document and have students correct it online. I could also use it to have students post what they have written, and have others change what they feel is wrong and be sure and leave comments as to why it is wrong, or even leave positive feedback.
